5 tips to become a better negotiator and save more money!
1. Do your job before negotiating
Have a clear knowledge about how much you want and what is your right price. Consult friends, colleagues to get a better understanding. If you get X, what is the consequence for the whole price?
2. Be clear about what you want
Communication is key in a negotiation. Tell your partner what you exactly want.
3. Create Value
Be creative in order to expand the pie and then you can cut it!
4. Be positive about the product with your partner
Don’t start underestimate the product offered by your partner. Be positive about it! He has to be excited about giving you a discount. There is always ego involved in this situation!
5. Let your partner speak first
Let your partner put a price range before making an offer. It might be way better that you thought initially!
